1.        Brief Introduction:

2.        Process Description

Sulfur-burning sulfuric acid plant process is composed of the following steps: sulfur melting workshop and burning sulfur conversion section, drying and absorption section, the processes are described as follows:

2.1  Raw material and sulphur melt steps

The solid sulphur will be sent into the quick sulphur melt tank by loading machine and belt conveyor, and the melted liquid sulphur will overflow into the set filter tank through the overflow port, and flow into the fine sulphur middle tank after filtration, and pumped into the liquid sulphur storage tank. A certain amount of filtration-aid shall be dosed into the pre-coating tank before filtration, and make it mixed with liquid sulphur evenly, and sent to liquid sulphur filter, and cover the filter lobe with filtration-aid; and filtration will be started when the filter-aid is complete. The filtered fine liquid sulphur will be sent into storage tank for ready use. In the production process, liquid sulphur will flow into the underground tank by gravity, and sent into the furnace by pump.

Quick sulphur melt tank, filter tank, filter aid tank and middle tank are in one-body structure, placed at underground; within all the sulphur storage tanks and fine sulphur storage tank, the steam coils are set, use the steam with 0.5～0.6MPa（absolute pressure） saturated to heat the sulphur indirectly and maintain the temperature in the range of 135℃～145℃.
